Build a rocket with cardboard boxes and paper

This was a fun Sunday activity for the kids to do with their dad.


Life-size Rocket


Materials:

-1 square shaped carboard box

-1 rectangle shaped carboard box

*both should total the height to fit your child.

-8 empty toilet paper rolls

-decorations

-tape


Directions:

1) Square shaped box: Cut out the center of the box (top). Remove the flaps at the bottom of the box.

2) Rectangle shaped box: Cut out a window on the side.

3) Attach a flap at the top of the rectangle shaped box in shape of a roof (upside down V)

4) Attach the Rectangle box to the top of the square shaped box.

5) Attach 2 toilet paper rolls to each corner of the square shaped box.

6) Decorate

7) Let your kids go in from the bottom of the square shaped box and enjoy!

Tips to stay environmentally conscious:

-Use old colored paper, magazines, newspapers

-Recycle!

-Use back of old papers and have kids color the sheets!
